Legal Research Made Easy ...

In this article, Dr. Frederick David Graves, JD lays out that winning cases are created by citing legal authority which says you are in the right. You want to educate that judge in front of you and show him exactly what he needs to do in this case. (Also, they hate to be overruled by appellate judges. When you get the legal authority entered into the proceedings, then judges will have to side with you, regardless of their ego and prejudices – or stack up a reputation for losing appeals.) But that’s a little more in his 24-hour course than he tells below…

If, as the old adage says, "ignorance of the law is no excuse", then knowing the law (or, at least, how to find it) is essential to winning!

Learning how is easy!

There is a simple process for finding the law.

Whether you use on-line resources or a law library at the courthouse or nearby college or university, the process is easy-to-learn ... and essential if you want to win!

You must know the law of your case!

You also must know how to cite the law using approved citation formats.

You'll get this and much more with my affordable, case-winning, official Jurisdictionary step-by-step, 24-hour course everyone is talking about!

Legal authority is what controls judges - not clever argument and, certainly, not some silliness you learned on the internet from some "group" claiming to restore the Republic! The law is the law. The rules are the rules. If you don't know both, you haven't a snowball's chance of winning in court!

Legal authority puts the judge on notice that he must rule in your favor or be overturned (and embarrassed) on appeal.

You cannot win without knowing and properly citing the legal authority that controls the judge over your case.

Clever argument alone is not enough.

You must know how to provide official citations to the controlling law in your written motions and memoranda and in your verbal arguments at hearings and trial.

You must know how to show judges why you should win by finding and properly citing legal authorities judges are obligated by law to obey:

  • court rules
  • controlling appellate cases
  • constitutional provisions
  • statutes and codes

Those who haven't yet learned how to find and cite legal authorities cannot control the court nor win on appeal ... so they lose ... needlessly!

Needless losses by people who refused to learn!

In the heat of your lawsuit battles, your opponents will cite legal authorities favoring their case. Count on it!

If you don't know how to do the same, you will lose!

Citing legal authorities (not internet legal mythology you received last week in an email) is essential to winning!

You must cite legal authority ... if you want to win.

Your opinions don't count. Barbershop opinions don't count. What some self-styled internet legal guru sent you in an email last week doesn't count.

The only thing that counts is legal authority.

Legal authority properly cited on the record!

Judges have egos, personal opinions, and biases. You can get hung up on this and join the throng of those who complain bitterly that "the courts aren't fair", or you can take the wise and mature path to victory and learn how to control judges by finding and citing legal authorities.

Your decision to win is your decision to learn how!

On rare occasions you might bump into a judge who's in some powerful big shot's pocket, ruling for the party who pays the most graft, but more often you'll be dealing with an ordinary human being who just happens to have a malady some lawyers call "black robe disease" (proclivity to ignore The Rule of Law and enter orders based on ego, personal opinion, or bias). Jurisdictionary is aware of the many groups on the internet calling themselves "patriots", complaining about judicial improprieties (without offering any workable solutions to the problem). We sympathize with everyone who's been railroaded or sold down the river by judges who were derelict in their sacred legal duty or downright dishonest.

But!

Rather than complaining about the proclivity of certain judges to violate law in the name of law, I show you how to control bad judges by finding and putting controlling legal authority in the record and then demanding judicial compliance upon threat of appeal!

This is how winning lawyers win!

There's no other way! My 25 years of experience as a case-winning lawyer licensed in state and federal courts has shown me this. There is no other way to win!

My leading, affordable, case-winning, Jurisdictionary step-by-step, official 24-hour course everyone is talking about will show YOU how to draft effective pleadings, use discovery to get evidence, move the court to enter orders in your favor, and make a solid record for appeal ... so appeal is least likely to become necessary!

My official Jurisdictionary course shows you how and why to find and cite legal authority the judge is required to obey or face being reversed on appeal!

Failure to cite controlling legal authority is always fatal.

But, you cannot cite what you cannot find.

To argue controlling law before a cantankerous judge, you must find it first. This is what legal research is for.

Find the law that controls the judge, then cite it!

If you want to win in court, you must put the judge in a legal box that allows only one result: Victory for YOU!

Legal research can be fun. It is always rewarding!

Failure to do legal research brings certain disaster!

Confidently instructing a grim-faced, high-handed judge that his only choice is to (1) rule in your favor or (2) face the certainty of being sharply criticized by a panel of appellate judges is a pleasure you cannot fully appreciate until you do it yourself and see the look of surprise in the judge's eyes when you've outsmarted him!

Winning is fun!

Losing is for losers!

Give a good judge solid citations to controlling law, and a good judge will give you justice.

Bad judges, on the other hand, don't like to be told what to do. They abuse their sacred duty when they try to rule outside the law, to favor a friend, to punish someone for no good reason, or just to show people they can do what they want because they are a judge. Such judges are the lowest life-forms. They're dangerous outlaws.

Fortunately, the truly corrupt ones are not a majority.

Yet, there are enough bad apples on the bench that it's plain foolish not to prepare by learning how to find and cite controlling legal authorities, following my Jurisdictionary methods.

It's a judge's job to do what's right - like it or not!

But, it's your job to tell the judge what legal authorities require the judgment you seek.

No one is going to do this for you!

You must learn how to do it, and you must do it to the best of your ability ... or you will have no one to blame but yourself when you lose.

Know how to find the law and cite controlling legal authority that requires judges to give you favor!
